Online tendering attracts agencies & suppliers
August 2008

Agencies have recently increased the use of NSW eTendering by over 50%. More than 50 agencies and around 70,000 suppliers now use NSW eTendering to advertise tenders and receive responses online.

Suppliers have responded to the drive for online tendering, with increased registrations to NSW eTendering. The result is reduced times for tendering across agencies and industry.

NSW eTendering is currently being enhanced to provide improved contract disclosure, better search, browse and reporting features and streamlined tender management processes. It will be launched with these new applications on 17 November 2008.

Driving value from motor vehicles
August 2008

A new, accredited panel of motor vehicle manufacturers state contract is now available. Agencies can now benefit from large savings and a more flexible response to the dynamic motor vehicle market.

Capped pricing and a new request for quotation process are features. Requests for quotation are through a committed volume for motor vehicle procurement, reducing capital cost.

The request for tender process is expected to be opened up to other eligible buyers by February 2008.
